Yoga is union: union of body and breath. All you need is a body and breath to do yoga, and the lessons you learn as you gently push your edge will challenge and surprise you!
Fun, charming, and mindful, my instruction is grounded in a keen understanding of and attention to proper alignment, pranayama, and a diversity of teaching modifications. I am a firm believer that yoga is for everybody and enjoy working with all levels of students. There is no better feeling than seeing that look in the eye or the smile on a student's face when they achieve what they once thought impossible! My classes encourage a joyful spirit of play, a total lack of pretension and a gentle pushing of boundaries while honoring the current state of the body/mind. I have been practicing for over 10 years, mostly Hatha, Vinyasa and Bikram/Hot yoga. In 2016, I completed my 200hr teaching certification at YogaWorks and have been teaching individual and small private group instruction since. Yoga can happen anywhere and I have been lucky enough to teach at places as pedestrian as clients' homes and small classrooms and studios, to local parks and even the Great Wall of China!
